MINNE JOHANNIS AND SOME OF HIS DESCENDANTS

Alice Minnerly Runyon
1979

This book is affectionately dedicated
to the memory of the author's brother
Arthur Greenleaf Minnerly

This book was started in the 1930's but the data accumulated have been set aside several times because of responsibilities at hand. Much of the information has come from Bibles, from obituary notices in the Tarrytown paper, from civil records, from church records, and from cemeteries.

The Methodist Protestant Church of North Tarrytown and Saint Paul's Methodist Episcopal Church to which reference is made in the text no longer exist. The records are said to be in the possession of the Methodist Conference but to date they have not been located.

The author is indebted to Mrs. Peter Andersen, Dr. Walter Francis Minnerly, Mrs. Fred B. Weeks and to Mrs. Douglas Reid, as well as to many other beloved members of the Minnerly family who have long passed away.

Much research remains to be done but further delay could lead to loss of the information offered at this time so it is the hope of the author that omissions and errors will be called to her attention.
